Stephen Berry

Stephen Berry grew up in Rock Hill, SC, and attended Winthrop University from 2018-2021, majoring in Physical Education Teacher Ed. While he was at Winthrop, he attended Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) where he met many people who grew up and went to Westminster Church (WPC). After graduating, Stephen followed the call to work in ministry and began a three-year internship with RUF in Chattanooga. Stephen is excited to be back in Rock Hill, working and serving with ROAR and getting to know the ROAR and WPC communities. He enjoys watching and playing all sorts of team sports, hiking, climbing, drinking coffee, watching movies, listening to podcasts, and laughing alongside friends

Assistant Director

Chuck Preslar

Chuck Preslar grew up in Mint Hill, North Carolina and moved to Rock Hill where he met his wonderful wife of 26 years Amy. He grew up on a ballfield playing all sports with basketball being his favorite and disc golf becoming a close second. At the age of 18 he felt the Lords call to serve in sports ministry first through coaching and now with his role as assistant director. Chuck has been with ROAR in one capacity or another for over 20 years including being the assistant director for the last 4. You will find him and his whole family serving at the park and other ROAR facilities. He and his family love ROAR and the relationships they have made with many families over the years and to see it grow to what it is today. He loves spending time with his family, mentoring others, and sharing the Gospel through sports.

Volleyball-Social Media Coordinator

Alaina Cobb

Alaina Cobb grew up in Rock Hill where she met her husband of 2 years. Alaina grew up playing in ROAR from the age of 6 playing basketball, soccer and volleyball until she aged out of ROAR. She continued to help out with ROAR by working in the concession stand and later coaching basketball and volleyball at the age of 15.  After covid, ROAR volleyball program was struggling to get sign-ups. Alaina took lead and ran our Practice and Play program in hopes of rebuilding the program. After 2 seasons of Practice and Play the program finally could have teams again and is thriving! You can find Alaina on the courts coaching or playing volleyball or at the fields taking pictures or in the concessions stand. Alaina loves spending time with her family and dogs and sharing the gospel through coaching and playing sports. 

Administrative Assistant

Samantha York

Samantha York is originally from Guatemala and grew up in Asheboro, NC. She is excited to be part of the ROAR staff and to meet the ROAR families. She has been a Jr. ROAR coach and referee in the past with ROAR, so we are excited to have her back with us on a permanent basis! She is very involved at North Rock Hill Church where she serves as a youth ministry volunteer. She is currently going to school online for seminary at SEBTS and planning to go into women’s ministry. She enjoys hiking with friends and family, painting, and photography. She is excited to see how the Lord uses her in this job and what’s to come!
